An innovative partnership that’s improving the lives of those in need has earned statewide recognition: Tucson Community Care (TC-3) has been named a 2025 AzHHA Quality Award winner for its approach to improving patient outcomes and reducing 911 calls.
The Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA) announced the winners of the 2025 Quality Awards at a luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
TC-3, a collaboration between Tucson Medical Center and Tucson Fire Department that aims to reduce calls to the 911 system by connecting frequent callers with community resources, received the Outstanding Patient/Community Impact award.
“We’re proud of the work we do to help connect vulnerable populations with the resources they need by addressing social determinants of health,” said Maya Luria, Director of Community Outreach at TMC Health. “This award affirms our commitment to caring for our community and improving lives.”
The Quality Awards were created to recognize Arizona’s leaders who are committed to advancing healthcare through exceptional quality performance, community engagement and a culture of continuous improvement.
“The quality of submissions and winners reflect the tremendous work that is happening in our communities across the state,” said Ann-Marie Alameddin, president and CEO of AzHHA. “Congratulations to our award winners who are working every day to pursue excellence in quality and patient safety.”
